One of the original events produced by the 500 Festival, the IPL 500 Festival Parade has grown to be one of the signature events held in the United States each year! The Parade is the only 500 Festival event that has taken place every year since the organization’s founding in 1957.

Multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning Zac Brown Band will headline the Firestone Legends Day Concert on Saturday, May 25 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, one day before the 103rd Indianapolis 500. 

“Zac Brown Band is a phenomenon, one of the most exciting, talented and popular live acts in any genre of music today,” IMS President J. Douglas Boles said. “The band’s unique blend of rock, soul, country, bluegrass and reggae has incredible appeal to so many people and reaches a new level when performed live. Racing and rock and roll are partners in the perfect party during the Miller Lite Carb Day on Friday, May 24 at IMS! Nothing turbo-charges the start of the greatest weekend in racing like the final practice for the 103rd Indianapolis 500, the Freedom 100, the Indy 500 Pit Stop Competition and the Miller Lite Carb Day Concert featuring one of the most legendary rock bands of all time, Foreigner. 

Kool And The Gang will open the concert, which starts at 3:30 p.m. on the Miller Lite Stage inside Turn 4 of the IMS oval.

Race car fans can meet Indy 500 drivers at the Last Row Party which honors and roasts the three drivers who make up the last or 11th row of the Indianapolis 500 race.  

In partnership with the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the Last Row Party is in the 160-foot-high Pagoda, which sits at the start and finish line of the Indianapolis 500.  

One of the 500’s best events, fans can eat, drink and laugh as drivers are roasted at the Pagoda. 

Tortoises, start your engines! Zoopolis 500, presented by American Dairy Association Indiana, is held annually the Wednesday before Memorial Day weekend.

This unique Zoo event and race-fan favorite includes a morning of family-friendly pre-race festivities leading up to the “Greatest Spectacle in Tortoise Racing.”

Once a year, a unique convergence unfolds at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, bringing together racing enthusiasts, business leaders, Indiana’s mayors, and the 33 500 Festival Princesses for an electrifying Hoosier tradition: the 500 Festival Breakfast at the Brickyard, presented by Midwestern Engineers, Inc. This spirited morning begins by paying tribute to Indiana’s dedicated mayors, with Mayor Joe Hogsett of Indianapolis as the gracious host, welcoming over 70 mayors from every corner of the state as we celebrate their unwavering commitment to advancing Hoosier communities.

On the first Saturday of May, 35,000+ runners, joggers, walkers and wheelchair racers, including American running icon Meb Keflezighi, will take over the streets of downtown Indianapolis for The Greatest Spectacle in Running - the Indy Mini. This epic race starts in the heart of downtown Indianapolis like only we could – with an IndyCar leading off each wave.
